The word “Tao” means a way, or a path, a route—a road. Further, it means the unifying principal and implies the basic way the universe works. In addition, the Tao is feminine in nature and uses softness and yielding in contrast with hardness and strength. Ultimately, however, the Tao is a mystery and cannot be absolutely defined. “Te” means virtue, power, character, goodness, and you might go so far as to equate Te with God. The word “Ching” means a classic or scripture.
What can the Tao mean to you? When Tao and Te are in your life, it means that all things are open to you. Also, your life is protected and as you walk the path, you live the life that is infinitely vast!
